OUR PASTOR
Rev. Brian Thorson accepted the call to be Bethlehem's full-time pastor and was installed on Sunday, May 26th, 2024.

Pastor Thorson grew up attending St. James Lutheran School in Howard Lake, Minnesota and graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly High School. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to complete his seminary training at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Following his graduation from the seminary in 2005, Pastor Thorson received his first call as a dual-parish pastor serving Zion and Trinity Lutheran Churches in Lewisville, Minnesota. He later served a parish in Ormsby, Minnesota, before being called to Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington, Missouri, where he faithfully served for nearly eight years.
Pastor Thorson has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 10 years, and together they have one son, James.
Beyond serving others through God's Word and Sacraments and being involved in various activities throughout his community, Pastor Thorson can be found spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and building and fixing things.
We give thanks to God for Pastor Thorson and his faithful service, and we are grateful to have him as our pastor at Bethlehem.
